Daughters of Judah Book Club and Fellowship

by Administrator 17. July 2010 06:13

What a blessing it is to be able to gather Godly women together for common purposes!  Lifting the name of Jesus,
ministering to one another, and gaining knowledge and wisdom are just a few of the blessings gained from
our fellowship.
On July 22nd at 6:30pm in the Historic Dining Room, we are in for a delightful treat!  Not just the refreshments, togetherness,
or even just the book...but the one that will lead our discussion is known for her unique ability to "stir things up" and I've got a
feeling she will be true to her calling.  Elder Clark will "journey" us through our exploration of this month's book "Living Water"
by Obery Hendricks.  This novel is so rich in detail, descriptions, and revelations about the human spirit.
Be blessed and encouraged through the grace of God through Christ Jesus!

Daughters of Judah Book Club and Fellowship

by Administrator 7. June 2010 06:46

What a wonderful experience we had at our last Daughters of Judah Book Club Fellowship!  The portrayals of the biblical women taken
from the second half of the book "Just A Sister Away" were phenomenal, inspirational and moving.
We will not have a meeting in June due to the empowerment session for our young teens which is scheduled on the 24th.  However,
we will resume our book club meeting in July on the 22nd.  The book is "Living Water" by Obery Hendricks.  It is a fictional account
about the "woman at the well" who encounters Jesus.  After reading this book, you may never look at this woman the same.  Elder Clark
will lead the discussion on this book, which will prove to be rewarding on many levels.
The book is available at the public library and on line at amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com.  Happy reading!
Be blessed!

Daughters of Judah Book Club and Fellowship for May

by Administrator 24. May 2010 13:07
A place where women meet to share knowledge, experiences, and spiritual insight.  A place that God
has truly blessed where women enrich the lives of one another while fellowshipping.  A place where
all have read a good book and can employ the wisdom gained to those people God places around us
in the years to come.
The Daughters of Judah Book Club and Fellowship has grown into such a place.
The second part of the book "Just A Sister Away" by Dr. Renita J. Weems will be the focus of our
next club meeting on Thursday the 27th at 6:30pm.  Meet us in the Historic Dining Room. This is a
blessed place...come and be enlightened.  Refreshments will be served.
